Girl students of Istanbul University held a meeting at school, on February 25, to protest the brutal murder of 20-year-old Özgecan Aslan. Su Gökdemir, speaking on behalf of her friends, said the murderers of women should not get good conduct abatement. "Women do not give in against murders" she said.

Su Gökdemir, speaking on behalf of her friends, said the murderers of women should not get good conduct abatement. "Women do not give in against murders" she said.
"We will continue to go out to protest, untill the the rape will not be no longer a government policy" she added.
The girl students carried placards of "Women murders are politic", "We will bring the murderers of Özgecan to book".
