Two Is Suicide Bombers Captured İn Ankara Ahead Of New Year's Eve (2)

Two Islamic State (IS) militants were captured with suspicion that they were "preparing for an attack on New Year's Eve" in Turkey's capital Ankara.

Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office made a statement on Dec. 30 that counter-terrorism police have captured the two suspects in Ankara's Mamak district.

Identified as M.C. and A.Y., the suspects "of Turkish origin" were scouting in a mall and two bars in Ankara's central Kızılay.

Suicide vests and explosives with steel balls and sticks were seized within the operation, while investigations continue.
