Central Bank Says May İncrease Fx Amount By $30 Mln İn Auctions

Central Bank of Turkey said, might increase the minimum amount upto 30 million dollars in daily forex selling auctions, instead of "50 percent" it was before.

"On days when deemed necessary due to excessive volatility, the FX selling auction amount may be increased by up to 30 million dollars above the pre-announced minimum amount. The auction amount will be announced as usual at 16.30 local time on the same pages" Central Bank said in the statement released on Friday.

This change gives Central Bank 10 million dollars additional increasing option, to rase the total amount in auction to 70 million dollars daily.

Central Bank could increase the daily selling amount to 60 million dollars previously, by increasing the 40 million dollars "mimum amount" by 50 percent. - Istanbul
