Antalya's Konyaalti Beach is Secured by Mounted Police
Mounted police officers have become the nightmare of criminals on the world-famous Konyaalti Beach in Antalya, where millions of tourists visit every year. The Mounted Police Unit, affiliated with the Riot Police Branch Directorate of the Antalya Security Directorate, has been working to prevent the increase in crime, especially theft, during the summer months. The horses, named Börü and Winner, are taken from the stable in the Çakırlar district of Konyaaltı before being prepared for duty. The mounted police officers patrol the beach every day between 10:00 and 13:00, ready to intervene in social events, especially in areas where motor vehicles cannot enter.
