Endangered sea turtles continue to come to Cirali Beach in Antalya, which is a nesting area for them. One sea turtle, which laid its eggs on the beach, attracted attention in the early morning hours. Tourists took precautions not to disturb the sea turtle, which dug its nest for hours before returning to the sea. Last year, nearly 3,500 baby sea turtles hatched from 9,000 eggs in 104 nests on the beach. This season, the number of nests has already reached 18. Volunteers who have been protecting the turtles' nests on the beach for 25 years recorded the sea turtle's location and health status before releasing it back into the sea.
