A 212-year-old tombstone in Aydın sheds light on the history of a 250-year-old complex
An interesting depiction discovered by Ottoman historian Hilmi Anaç on a tombstone erected 212 years ago sheds light on the history of the 250-year-old Cihanoğlu Complex, one of the historical complexes in Aydın. The tombstone, believed to depict the Cihanoğlu Mosque, which was built by Cihanoğlu Abdülaziz in 1756, has three arches, which are not commonly seen in any mosque in Aydın. The tombstone is thought to belong to the wife of a teacher or instructor who worked in the complex. Haberin devamını okumak için tıklayın.
