Commemoration Ceremonies Marking Centenary Of Gallipoli Campaign İn Turkey

Several commemoration ceremonies were held in Turkey on April 24 and 25 to mark the centenary of the Gallipoli Campaign with the participation of at least 21 heads of state and prime ministers including President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, Britain's Prince Charles and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott. The main places of ceremonies were Canakkale Martyrs' Memorial, Anzac Cove, 57th Infantry Regiment Memorial, Helles Memorial, French Cemetery, the Lone Pine Cemetery and the New Zealand Memorial located on Gallipoli peninsula and Ataturk's Memorial Anitkabir in Turkey's capital Ankara. .
