International Exhibition 'Kaligrafist' 2017

A writing culture event.

The Istanbul Design Center is hosting an international exhibition, organized by the Traditional Arts Academy within the Küçükçekmece District Municipality of Istanbul, for the first time in Turkey, conducting an international calligraphy art exhibition titled 'Kaligrafist', where the works of world famous handwriting masters are brought together.

While the first part of the exhibition was hosted by the Sefaköy Culture and Art Center in Istanbul, the second part will be hosted by the Istanbul Design Center.

As the most comprehensive event in the field of calligraphy and handwriting culture in Turkey, the 'Kaligrafist - A Writing Culture Event ' will bring together all the committed artists, academicians and young calligraphers from Turkey and also from around the world.

Everyone interested in the subject are welcome to the exhibition opening reception to be held on Saturday, 20 May, 2017 at 17: 00, which will be open for visitors until 3 June, 2017.

The 40 art works of the following local and foreign participants will be displayed at the exhibition:

Hermann Zapf, Denis Brown, Yukimi Annand, Gemma Black, James Fazz Farrell, Betina Naab, Emin Barın, Etem Çalışkan and Yılmaz Özbek.
