Aegean Seller Uses Scented Spray Over Strawberries To Boost İts Smell

In Aegean province of Izmir, a seller used chemical strawberry fragrant spray over the strawberries on his counter in Bostanlı marketplace.

Karşıyaka District Municipality received a tip-off from the people that a seller sprayed strawberry extract on his products, "so they can smell good".

Having launched a comprehensive inspection on the strawberry counters, municipality staff revealed that people were fooled by the seller.

Some 200 kg of strawberry was collected and extinguished. Legal action was launched for the seller. The municipality announced that marketplace inspections will be boosted and gained continuity to protect human health. - Izmir
