– The consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.67 percent in November, slightly above the expectation of bank economists, which was around 0.5 percent.
According to the data released by Turkstat, a rise in general index was seen by 8.58 percent in the first 11 months, by 8.10 percent on annual basis and by 7.61 percent on the twelve months moving averages basis, in November.
The highest monthly increase was 5.37 percent in clothing and footwear in November, while the prices rose in food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.0 percent, in furnishings and household equipment by 0.66 percent, in housing by 0.54 percent and in communications by 0.35 percent. In November, the prices fell in recreation and culture by 0.54 percent and in miscellaneous goods and services by 0.28 percent.
The highest annual increase was 13.44 percent in hotels, cafes and restaurants. Prices in recreation and culture rose by 11.74 percent, in miscellaneous goods and services by 11.37 percent, in furnishings and household equipment by 10.50 percent, in food and non-alcoholic beverages by 9.51 percent on annual basis.
In November 2015 within average prices of 426 items in the index, average prices of 49 items remained unchanged while average prices of 289 items increased and average prices of 88 items decreased.
Domestic producer prices fell by 1.42 percent
Domestic producer prices (D-PPI) fell by 1.42 percent on monthly basis, increased by 6.06 percent on 11-month basis, increased by 5.25 percent on annual basis and increased by 5.33 percent on the twelve months moving averages basis in November .
D-PPI monthly decreased by 0.37 percent in the index for mining and stone quarrying, decreased by 1.26 percent in the index for manufacturing, decreased by 3.69 percent in the index for electricity and gas and increased by 1.11 percent for water supply.
Prices fell by 3.69 percent in coke and refined petroleum products, by 3.69 percent in electricity and gas, by 3.68 percent in other manufactured goods.
Highest rates of monthly price increase in D-PPI were in indices for tobacco products by 4.64 percent, in crude petroleum and natural gas by 2.03 percent and in wood and products of wood and cork, except furniture by 1.29 percent.
