Some 1451 foreigner migrants have been captured in three days, within security operation seeking to stop groups in attempt to cross illegally to Greek islands, in Aegean waters.
According to the Coast Guard Command, between Oct. 2-5, some 1451 migrants have been captured in Ayvacık district of Çanakkale province, Dikili, Çeşme and Seferihisar districts in İzmir, and Bodrum, Fethiye and Marmaris in Muğla province.
Within around 45 rescue operations in three days, four migrants' lifeless body have been pulled out of the Aegean Sea, while a significant number of toddlers existed among the groups seeking to risk their lives, despite the migrant boat tragedies in the region.
Accordingly, the Coast Guard Command declared that around 56,697 illegal migrants have beenb captured in the sea, since Jan. 1.
