In southeastern province of Mersin, Dr. Serap Ergene, the Manager Professor at the Sea Turtles Application and Research Center criticized the attempts of concretion and structuring over Davultepe beach, called on people of Mersin to resist. Ergene said that any change on the ground would be the end of these endangered creatures under protection. The center has been conducting researches on the nest ground since 2006. Meanwhile, Ergene and her research team keeps stand guarding at the ground to protect the loggerhead turtles from dogs at the beach, predatory animals and mostly people. (Photo) - Mersin.
