Syrian Migrants' Journey Suspends, Over Heavy Breeze İn Aegean

– A group of Syrian migrants in attempt to cross into Europe through Aegean waters backed up, as heavy wind shook the region.

Footage showed a group of migrants, including women and children, backtracking to the city center, with inflatable boats and life jackets in their hands.

Measures have been boosted at the transition point of refugee flaw, Aegean coasts in particular, after the deadly boat disasters.

However, the security measures have not discouraged Syrians, having been facing death despite the worsening weather conditions.

Some of the migrants, waiting at the Bodrum bus terminal for their departure, told he has been stopped and sent back from Bodrum three times, over security interventions.

"We don't want to be a burden to Turkey"

Hasan Kazani, 35-year-old, told he has been waiting with his wife and two children for the weather to settle down, before they have another try.

"It has been a year in Turkey. I was working in constructions in Syria. I remember the day some people has come to our neighborhood and put guns in our hands. We had no idea whom we were targeting. I realized we were going to confront death, ultimately. That is why I left the country, with my family" told Kazani.

The family did not want to "be a burden to Turkey", he said.

"No one can turn us dissuade us"

"It is impossible to found a future for my family, here. We do not have a choice. We have to cross into Greece. We have sold everything we had in Aleppo. We merely have the money to take us to Germany. No one can turn us back from this journey" added Kazani.

Meanwhile, around 450 people, of Syrian, Pakistani, Afghan and Iraqi origin, have been captured in the last two weeks and sent to foreigners branch in Muğla Police Department.
