Innovative Emergency Team Will Pedal To Save Lives

In western province of Bursa, the Emergency Health Services has formed special teams consisting of medical supporters that will cycle to their patients, due to traffic delaying the arrivals of ambulances.

The Province Health Manager Dr Özcan Akan said that these teams would be able to do medical intervention to patients, in districts where the traffic density is higher.

Within the project, emergency teams will be deployed to critical spots in certain districts, and will include trained paramedic doctors and emergency medical techniciens. In necessary cases, the ambulances will arrive to those scenes to support the "cycler doctors of Bursa".
