Fatma Uçar, a 103-year-old grandma living in the Gölbaşı district of Ankara seems to live the moment far more than her younger ones, pursuing an organic life, living on food that she produces, and not giving up on her work life.

Having had born in 1912, Fatma Uçar has six children- Halil (63), Şerafettin (57), Nihat(61), Sediha (73), Şükran (71) and Emine (69), 21 grandchildren and 30 children of grandchildren, making a total of 51. The youngest is 20 while the oldest is 48 years old. The youngest child of her grandchildren is only 6 years old. The grandma has lost her husband İsmail Uçar in 1994 because of a coronary failure. But Uçar seems to have a stronger health condition, since she told that she does not have any diseases despite her age.

While telling her story, Fatma Uçar said that she had been known as the 'Crazy Fadime' in her youth. The moment where Atatürk had visited her school is highly important for her. "When I was eight years old, Atatürk came to our school, and all of a sudden entered our class" said Uçar.

103-year-old Grandma Uçar can stand and walk without help of others and despite her age, she can work in her farm and garden, grub up vegetables, feed chickens and pick up the products. Since compounded products are her enemies, this seems to be normal.

"In my daily life, I only consume what I have grown and produced. I never buy eggs from shops, I have my own chickens. Also, I make my own yoghurt, eat the fruits in my garden" said Fatma Uçar.

Even if she is as strong as her granddaughters, Grandma Fatma thinks that she is getting older and getting tired more easily comparing to her younger years. "I was never getting tired in the past. I am getting old. But I love working. I feel like working!" affirmed Fatma Ünal.
