G-20 Leaders Summit to be held in Turkey's southern province of Antalya, has already started to spark demonstrations across Turkey, as a youth union protested U.S. President Barack Obama and the States, making a cortege in front of the U.S. Embassy building in Ankara.
Turkish Youth Union (TGB) members gathered in front of the Assembly building, carrying old shoes and sacks in their hands, inspired by a 2003 incident when U.S. soldiers staged an operation against Turkish soldiers based in Sulaymaniyah in northern Iraq, in which they took 11 Turkish soldiers hostage and put sacks on their heads.
While the banner of the group read "We challenge the biggest terrorist of all time", protesters chanted "Murderer U.S., get out of the Middle East", ""Damn American Imperialism" and "Tremble with fear Obama, the Turkish youth comes". - Ankara
