Video) 260 Syrian Migrant Captured Seeking To Cross İnto Italy Through Mediterranean

In Manavgat district of Mediterranean province of Antalya, some 260 migrants of Syrian origin were captured while attempting to cross into Italy, illegally, in a fishing boat.

Following a tip-off, coast guard teams in Antalya has begun to watch the fishing boat and made stop warning in the evening hours. As the migrants disobeyed the warning, the coast guard teams supported by a helicopter captured around 260 migrants, including children and women. A man accused of stealing was detained.

The gendarmerie seized loads of lifejackets and inflatable boats that the group has been carrying with them. The fishing boat was brought to a shipyard near Manavgat, carrying the migrants in the boat. After the procedures carried out by the gendarmerie, the migrants were brought to a stadium by buses.

The migrants have gone aboard on Sep. 17 around 04.30 in attempt to go to Italy.
