Brisa Company Awarded "2015 Sustainability Report" Prize

Turkey's leading tire producer Brisa Company is awarded for its "2014 Sustainability Report", by the Ethical Corporation, in the UK.

The company has been releasing its Global Reporting Initiative comprehensive sustainability reports since 2012, in a bid to share its company operating, managing approach with its social, economic and environmental dynamics, performance results and targets, with stake holders, through a transparent manner.

The awarded report of Brisa fully respects the 10 articles within United Nation Global Compact Principles, deriving from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

Brisa, accepted for Borsa 100 Sustainability Index

The best sustainability award goes to the company that most effectively shows how they have delivered corporate responsibility/ sustainability transparency to stakeholders in an honest, humble and clearly consistent way.

Along with this development, Brisa Company announced it was accepted for the Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index, between Nov. 2015 and Oct. 2016.

Responsibility rather than a preference

Brisa CEO Yiğit Gürçay said the company has been considering sustainability as a responsibility against next generation, rather than a preference, within its operation.

"We have the responsibility to leave a world where the daily requirement are assured, to next generation. We should adopt this approach, during our daily work and operation, and put signature to businesses, with a clear conscience" urged Gürçay.
